The family picnic was a big success, then it started to down pour rain! We had three and a half hours of good food and lots of fun before making the mad scramble to our cars. After we got home for the night, my brother and his wife came with the grand kids. Us ladies sat around the table eating brownies while the Ron and David were out bonding over his van.

This was a needed visit and I am so happy it all went well. Ron and David had a long talk outside about the last time they visited here and how uncomfortable he was. Ron said he felt bad after they left here last time too because he didn't get to know David as he should have. So and now the brother in law bonding has begun! ;)

Then we have my sister Gloria and her husband Lee. Lee is a character, a funny one indeed, at one point in our driveway when they were getting ready to leave, he decided to whip out a hand gun to show David. He was career military (retired now) and I am sure seeing guns is very second nature to him, but believe me, it scared the daylights out of me and David. 

I will write more later, there are a few things that happened to me yesterday that lead me to take an anxiety pill (not mine) but I was that desperate. For now I want to end this blog on a happy note because I am happy that everything was so nice with our family visit.....
