  WI but not FI!

August 11, 2014

No I am not talking about wi-fi or anything technical. I was referring to us (our family) moving to the great state of Wisconsin. My husband was not convinced it was a good idea until he started doing the medical transport. He has come to realize that simply driving two hours south of here opens up a whole new world of LIFE outside our little camping community!

Moving to some where Wisconsin was initially my idea. This town has become way to small and filled with no possibilities. I really hope if we decide to go my children will follow us, it would open lots of doors of new opportunity for them too.

For us it would be much closer to the hub of David's pilot driving and medical transport. I have lots of family there already. Until today I really didn't think this was something we would ever seriously consider but we have really given this some thought. Today David made some realizations about it too, good ones!

There are way more pro's than con's to us leaving Michigan. We've been having this debate over our home. I want to sell it and start new memories, this home has two much baggage with it. David was adamantly opposed to even talking about selling this house because of all the work he has put into it over the years. But today he told me he would rather we leave Michigan if we are going to sell our home. I can live with that thought because it is a move in the direction I feel we need to go.

On another note,  I made chicken cordon blue for dinner tonight and as always, it was amazing! To compliment the chicken was corn on the cob, tomatoes, grapes, blackberries and strawberries. Oh and I got some French loaf and made little mini garlic bread slices.

I cleaned out the transport van today and tomorrow I get to clean the big white passenger van, which David keeps laughing about. He keeps telling me, 'wait until you see the inside'.  How bad can it be, right?

About an hour ago I made some rainbow colored rice krispie bars so Maggie could try homemade ones. I wished I would have doubled the batch so they would have been a bit fluffier. None the less, they are delicious...

They were sweet but not as much as Bill when he came to pick her up for their night out. Cute couple they make and Mooch seems to adore him!

Luggage rack on the van, YEAH! David is jumping up and down on the inside. He was told he couldn't do that but he did and it worked. JUST A FEW little steps away and he will be gone on the big road. Kelli will be gone and the house quiet.

We decided to take over Kelli's bedroom and close off our master suite for this winter anyway. It's just too expensive to heat and until we get back on our feet financially we are going to have to make some pretty big sacrifices this winter. I love our bedroom but our electric bill is going to go from two digits into the three digits. I am sure we can't handle that this year yet. HENCE the reason for moving from this stupid jobless town!

Well I am going to call it a night. David has to leave early in the morning and we need some shut eye..

Goodnight, let's hope I sleep better tonight, waking up wide awake at 3am is so not cool.... frown
