Thirty four years ago today I gave birth to a very beautiful baby boy, my son Adam! I can remember the morning he was to make his arrival. I was sitting on the end of my bed eating green grapes when my water broke, apparently my little boy was ready to come out and meet the world. 

I got to the hospital and was put in a room and told to put a gown on. Once I did that they settled me into a bed in the labor room. I laid there for a long time with nothing happening. After many hours the nurses came in and told me they were going to put pitocin in my IV to get my contractions started.  I don't think it took more than a half hour for my labor to begin. Things started to progress very quickly after that.

Five hours of labor and ten minuet's of pushing and out into the world came this miracle of life. He was so alert for just being born. He had lots of black hair, big brown eyes and yellow coloring to his skin and a bruise by his eye. They laid him on my stomach and he actually put his head up and started looking around the room. It was amazing, he was amazing!

I am very proud to be his mother, he is one of the five pure joys of my life.......
