Day one!
September 24, 2014
Day one of David on the road! He messaged me this morning and told me he slept well in his make shift bed. I was happy to hear that news. I know he was a little nervous this morning but that is normal. I hope his training goes well and he learns a lot riding with Bill. I miss you babe.....
I slept good last night too. The dog stayed on David's side of the bed. I was expecting him to come sleep close to me and keep me warm but that didn't happen. He missed his daddy is my guess. I feel in a good mood and I hope it stays that way during his away time. I tend to get mood swings rather easily.
There is some anger lingering over me today because my oldest son told me he may not be able to buy his sisters car after all. This makes me very sad for him and upset with his dad. He has no running car and a very long walk to work. It is starting to get cold out now. Last night he walked by the house in he dark carrying his groceries and wearing his work clothes and looking very tired. Aunt Maggie gave him a ride the rest of the way home. (Thank you Aunt Maggie)
I asked him why he couldn't buy her car and he told me his dad wanted to settle the trailer stuff, so with him having to pay out more money he didn't think he could swing the car right now. Some days I would seriously love to punch his dad square in the face! The man has lost all his marbles! Yes! I know that was not nice to say, but I don't think he has been so nice or thoughtful to any of us either. He just keeps pushing pushing and pushing where the kids are concerned.
Who is really demanding all this crap anyway?! Hey! there's a white elephant in the room!!! Let's not talk about it though!
Helping your children in this day and age is a must if we want to see them get a decent life built up for themselves. It is just the way times are, and I am not talking about giving them a free ride either, not at all. I don't believe in a free ride.
When your kids are working their butts off and going to school, trying to buy food, clothing, school things, transportation, and paying bills, I don't think cutting them a little slack in other areas is going to cause a major hurt. It's your kids for god sake!
I really don't think the world will come crashing down if their father helped them out a little more. He is the one of us parents in a position to do so.
Two daughters are in college and he has not lifted a finger to help them in any way. We help them as best we can but it's not often because right now we don't have two nickel's to rub together.
This would be the reason why my husband left town to work, we want to make things better for us and be in a position to help our kids and their future families if they ever need it. It's what families do, it's what families are all about. It's very sad one of us parents lost sight of this..............
I am going to get on with my day and get away from the negative energy. I need to try and keep positive minded if i am going to get though this time while my husband is away. So with that said, I wish everyone a good day!
Love you kids, family, mom, sister..... HUSBAND!!
