  Just a bit uneasy!

October 9, 2014

I woke up today feeling unsettled but I'm not sure why. The sun is out bright and shiny and I am in a good mood. I got a few things done early today, yet this lingering feeling of being unsettled is there with me.

David is having trouble finding a place to mount the two front flags on his van and this made me have a nightmare last night. I was trying everything to find a way to make the flags work so he could get on with going out on the road. It is almost November and he was supposed to be out in August. undecided

The unsettling part of all of this is that he has a great opportunity to make some good money, but these annoying obstacles keep getting in the way of him finishing that stupid van. I am about ready to torch the SOB! The van that is.

Whom ever fixed my sons car did a lousy job, the gas tank started to leak really bad and spilled gasoline all over the parking lot where he is living right now. Thank you 'dumb-ass' half cocked mechanic, whom ever you are, this could have been a real safety issue for him had he been traveling home.

Thankfully Floyd acted quickly to help Chris and got his car in last night, he will get it back today some time. Thank you, Floyd, you rock!

We are having a small birthday party for my baby girl this weekend. Hard to believe she is in her twenties and my two oldest are in their thirties! WHAT HAPPENED! surprised Time flew by way too quickly!

Eeeeesh!  I sound horribly depressed with this blog! I am not depressed, just growing frustrated with how things are going in our life right now.

The good things are, the holidays are coming soon and me and Maggie mapped out a plan for how we are going to get things done, baking, holiday dinners, presents. Yup! we got a plan and it is a good one. We will be sitting down today to make lists so nothing gets overlooked.

Making a list, checking it twice, gonna find out who's naughty or nice. tongue-out We already know the answer to that.

But first, Halloween is coming up and we are wondering if a small party would be fun? Just a few friends, spooky music, decorations with good food and drinks. There is not much planning time so this is still up in the air. If all fails to come together there is always BARONS! laughing

Thanksgiving after that, I think, I hope, this will be the last big holiday that I prepare my dinner in my current kitchen, with a little luck we will have our new kitchen/dining room expansion build on. I mean I know that is one of our dreams and we've had it for some time now, but now we actually have a good chance of making it happen.

The best part of our plans, they work beautifully into our existing home with room to spare if we want to build out more. AND, it is in the home our children were raised so it will always been a touch of home for them no matter the changes. Our family is all over this home and God willing, our grandchildren will be too. Memories were made and more memories to come. This has been a good home for us but we are growing out of it size wise and this is why we want to add on a larger kitchen and dining room.

I call these rooms the hub of our home. The gathering place of one and all! We do have some things to look forward too and Lord know my husband needs this. Sitting still without a project drives him crazy. I think the neighbors building on their addition is making him stir crazy to start our own project.

Mom Rosa, I miss you and wish you could be here for Christmas. It really feels like we have not seen you in way too long. We all love you and I smiled as I read your letter yesterday. You seem so excited about getting a new dress and shoes for Dan and Traci's wedding. You, of all people should be here to share in their special day because you have been with the two of them from the very beginning and accepted Dan as another one of your grandchildren too. I know it means a lot to them to make sure you are here. We love you mom and gramma!

What is Jenna going to do with her day today? I can find a lot actually but I think starting with more weatherization of our garage for the cat kennels is a good start. I got a little done last night and feel pretty good about it.

I can't wait until we put the garage expansion on so we can move the kennels over there. This will help keep the cats warm and out of the frigid cold in the winter months.

Have a good day people of the cyber world....................
