Salty Paws!
November 13, 2014
I feel so horrible right now. Tonight me and Maggie went for dinner and then shopping to get some salt for the icy sidewalk. We poured two bags full all over the place. I then took my dog out to go potty and on the way back to the house he started to fall down in the snow like he was in pain. I thought he was having a stroke.
Turns out the salt got under his paws and was stinging him. I rushed him into the house and Maggie wiped off his paws with a towel. Poor puppy.
Blaze is at the vets having his spay or neuter. We have yet to determine the cats sex. I say boy, but we will have to wait until tomorrow. After surgery he comes home and needs to be indoors for twenty four hours. I have a real issue with allowing this poor cat to be in the warm house, including vet stay overnight and then releasing him back into the cold outdoors.
I am going to work my hardest at finding him a home. Wendy is paying for the surgery and me and Maggie paid for him to have pain shot, a de-wormed and rabies vaccination. Thanks to my husband and his new job, it allows me to help the homeless animals a little more. Thanks to my sister, she always splits the cost with me so we can get more needed things done for the animals.
Now, if a magic little fairy could please drop off several cases of canned Purina cat food I would be in paradise. Seriously, it gets a little overwhelming feeding all these cats, plus my own and the dog and bird. We really do have a little farm going on here.
David is going to be late coming home this weekend, I feel sad about that, I got used to him being home on Friday nights, but its all good. We will make the best of our time together before he goes back out on Monday.
Kevin will be working out of town next week too. I think Floyd is trying to move all my children to Wisconsin on me. :) I am VERY concerned that Kevin never got his CPAP mask, he is way too sleepy, so I know he did not get his mask yet. This kind of upsets me knowing he has to be alert and on the road driving, he needs to be wide awake for this job.
I miss Chris, I have not seen him in about three weeks. He is bouncing all over Wisconsin right now. But hopefully he will be home for a visit soon.
I think I am very grateful Adam works locally, me and Maggie were just talking about having no one around to help if we get into a pinch with our cars or snow or what ever. But we can call Adam, he sure came though with the cat situation.
I REALLY MISS ALL MY KIDS!!!!!! but this is what life is all about and as long as they are happy and earning a living wage, then I am really happy for them. I always wanted to see them have a life, a good one. I am so happy that God blessed me with each and every one of them! :)
For you, David....
I love you babe, I miss you too. It was good to talk to you today even if we were both in a Walmart parking lot at the same time talking on our phone to each other. That was a funny coincidence. But maybe it was meant to be too.
Think about the business idea, I am not certain at all how this could be done, but me and Maggie are willing to try something if you want us too.
I look forward to Saturday, I'm going get all dolled up for you babe, so be ready, we will find something fun to do together. Love you...........
Lastly, I miss my cat a lot. I cried today looking at his picture. Mooch was my cat for 18 years and it is so hard being in this home and not seeing him everyday. He was an amazing cat. Love you Boo Boo..
Time for me to get off here and get to bed. I have another busy day tomorrow.
Good night........
