I would like to thank my friend for sending me a very nice article with photo's and stories of my FAVORITE plane, the SR-71! This is an amazing piece of aircraft that I have followed for many years. I still marvel in her glory, but sad she has been put out to rest. I still never got an answer to my question about this plane, it was rumored to fly mach 5, but only recorded as flying mach 3. I wish I knew the truth, but then they would probably never want this information released. Impressive Plane is all I can say!!
