  Pub Crawl....

March 14, 2014

It's way to early for me to be up let alone thinking about the Pub Crawl. This weekend a group of us are going out to listen to Driver and Nudge in Glad-Rock and then back to town to hear a new band we have not heard before. My body is still on 5:am mode from work!

Bittersweet weekend though because mom leaves on Monday to go back to Sweden. I feel very sad because we don't know when we will see her again after this trip. It has been a wonderful three weeks. I cooked for her the entire time making her feel like she was eating in a big fancy restaurant every night and she loved it. Some of her favorites were chicken piccata, spaghetti and meatballs with homemade marinara. Sweet and sour meatballs. She also loved the sausage, eggs and hash breakfast, chocolate banana bread and she fell in love with my homemade peanut butter cookies. She even asked me if I would make some for her to bring back to Sweden. I made quite a few new recipes and they all turned out to be really good, as a surprise I am going to make her more cookies and have them packaged and shipped over. Maybe Margit (her neighbor) will get a bigger taste of one too.

Band practice last night rocked. We even had a head peeper! Some random man opened up the door and peeked in on us practicing. I think he was a little shocked and did not expect there to be twelve people in the room with more than half of them with instrument's in hand. He shut the door rather quickly.

The band was busy learning three more new songs,  Gramma was very happy they did the chicken dance for her. I took a video of the previous practice where she got up and sang with the band. That is one incredibly special lady. She would do just about anything for her kids. We are going to miss her so much and come July, we will be very sad she is not here this year.

My beautiful girl just left for work, poor thing has to work on her spring break and is loaded with a pile of home work on top of that. She looks so tired most days. She has lost weight because she looks so small and her clothes appear baggy. The stress she has been under with all the above and trying to cope with certain other issues is a lot for her to handle right now. I just want to hugg her all up and make everything alright again in her world.

PUB CRAWL is getting closer!!  So far everyone is on board and ready to tie one on! :) Kids are grown and life is getting good. I FINALLY feel like I am gaining back the freedom to come and go as we please and not have to worry about babysitters and small children. (at least until my grandbabies get here) :) Until then, a little adult fun is on the menu!

Well the alarm clock just went off and my hubby is waking up. I need to get moving and start my day. I think I will make some eggs and toast for Gramma and then get ready for a day of running and possibly Vinny's visit, like I will have to twist Maggie and moms arm to go there (smirks) Moms suitcase is going to be way over the normal weight limit but when she found out they only charge one rate no matter how much over, she jam packed this one! ;) Gotta love her...

Have a good day peeps out there and I LOVE LOVE LOVE my family!!!!!!!!!!!!!
