Fried Chicken!
April 10, 2014
Long interesting day! My cousin Scott came over so him and David could pull out some parts on the truck. They are fixing the back brake lights and we also got two harnessing/motor arm kits for the windows on the truck. All to the tune of $235 worth of parts. Remember the change I was telling you about that added up to $506 ? Well, it is money well spent and now my husbands truck will have working brake lights and windows that go up and down again!!
Tomorrow they will install the parts, we didn't have time tonight seeing we have a band practice later. We got the book price on our truck and after all is said and done we may be selling it for a cheaper truck. This one gets about nine miles to the gallon.
Kelli got her new glasses today and she is trying to get used to them. They gave her 'adult' glasses this time. She looks good in them but you know young girls, they have to make sure about that. Speaking of Kelli, her car is not running well at all. There is shaking going on and thudding noises when you stop the car. This is not what she needs right now!
In other news, I made fried chicken for the first time in all my cooking years. It turned out really good but really not good FOR you. LOTS of oil but I did use the healthier choices. I will leave you with a mouth watering picture to enjoy!
On and ending note, I don't know how the boys are going to afford, cable, car insurance, food, electric, heat, medical, gasoline and cat's that are not their responsibility! It is not their fault we live in one of the highest states of unemployment and it is not like they are not trying to find work and full time jobs. So let's kick 'em when they are already down. Some people are a deadly combination of selfishness!
David and I are trying to help where we can but we don't have steady or stable income. But even so, we would never leave our kids high and dry at a time in their lives where FAMILY should pull together to help each other though the tough times.
