The month of May always brings a lot of important occasions for our family. Graduations, birthdays, mother's day etc. This year will be different because the kids father won't be around, in fact I heard he will be in Marquette for his sisters surprise birthday party. 

It's unfortunate he will miss all things going on with his own kids for a bunch of people who were never around for him much less our kids all these years, but he seems unscathed at missing any of the important events that have taken place over the last eight months of their lives anyway.  

So we are going to have a great weekend, regardless of everything else and I suspect we all better get used to they way things are from here on in.
