  It's Salty Saturday!

June 7, 2014

I've got to watch how much salt I am putting in my margarita's! My hands are swollen this morning from last nights drinks. Adam and Jamie came over and we had beer, margaritas and played quarter slam on the kitchen table.

Speaking of slamming things, my dog injured me when he saw this other dog walking by our house because he went insane.  I was sitting on the end of my bed which happens to be pretty high up and he ran to the window to bark. He turned around to run into another room nailing me in the face with his head and it was so hard it actually spun me around and right off the end of the bed backwards.  All my weight came down on a wood floor and one arm,  I thought my arm was broken because I never felt pain like that before.

My husband had to leave the room he was laughing so hard. I have a warped husband..  yes he will tell people I told him to get out of the room when he asked to help me up but the reason I didn't let him is because I did not want him laughing at me while helping me up.  If anyone was going to laugh first it was going to be me;  so when he left the room I did think about what just happened and laughed.  We are so weird, but at least we stay entertained.

SO much to do this weekend like getting ready for our rummage sale end of June. We also have to get our pricing for the cleaning business in print. We (me and Maggie) went to register our business at the court house yesterday. They allowed us to DBA a partnership so that was really cool. We were originally told we had to do an L Corp, but that is not the case anymore.

Here is some SUCKY news! Yesterday me, David and Maggie went into Applewood to see my son working and have some lunch. Kevin and David were talking about how sick they felt being in that beautiful restaurant because it was EXACTLY how our coffee house would have been. Ceilings were the same, walls, wall colors that Chris had picked out, the brick, even the trim edging was done the same way David did it in the building. The only difference between the buildings was we had real hard wood floors and a beautiful big stage room for live entertainment, something no one else around here would have had.

I know the coffee house ordeal will be deeply ingrained in all the people that were involved in that project for the rest of our lives and nothing will ever take away the feelings of what happened to all of us. Our grandchildren are going to know what happened because there will come a time when our family history will be asked about.  Well, I have documented everything for the last five years and that will be there too.

The truth will be told....

On a another note, we are going to listen to some live music tonight AND Madison Avenue, along with some other local bands and a blues band from out of the area may be playing on Monday nights in the park band shell. We also have a show in Manistique coming up, a cancer benefit and another one I can't remember.  David wants to make sure we get some shows in before we lose our extremely talented beautiful awesome smokin hot drummer girl when she leaves for school in the fall.

So, lots of changes coming soon.  I have so much more to update but need to get moving. Looks like another beautiful sunny day out there today......

Enjoy!!
