  Shaky Faith!

June 12, 2014

I can't understand the point of view of a person going to church (Catholic Church) to be exact, but then saying you don't agree with the Catholic Doctrine. Then why are you sitting in the pew week after week?

You either believe or you don't believe.  Attending church relays a very strong message that you do believe. You are there supporting and listening to the Priest, you are actively participating and practicing Catholic Religion.

This poses a sticky situation for some. If your child is gay and you love them and except them for who they are, how can you sit in a Catholic Church?

If you believe the doctrine and attend weekly then you can't agree with a person being gay, it just doesn't work both ways unless you are being dishonest and living a lie.

I am perplexed by this because this happening to someone I love and I have a real difficult time trying to explain to them why this person is doing what they are doing.

God does not make mistakes and each and every single child born to this earth is a gift from God, I think most of us will agree with this statement God fearing or not.

It must be very confusing for a gay child who has a parent practicing a religion that rejects the gay community. There can't possibly be a good explanation for this, not an honest one anyway. It just hurts and confuses them even more so.

Hence the reason I refuse to practice organized religion or have anything to do with Catholicism.  I believe in my God, although I will admit to being on very shaky ground with my faith in him right now. I still believe and look up to my God.

My God loves everyone and does not discriminate,  if we are really being tested then a great majority of this human race is failing.  If it is not our job to judge then it seems the Catholic Religion is in serious question here.

I could go on with this subject but I made the point I was after.

I love my family and would never dream of entering into something or practicing, supporting or being involved in anything that would demean another human being.

Even if I am wrong in thinking, my only sin is loving and caring too much and I would rather live that way than to be a  HYPOCRITE!
